A lot of previous "child safety" laws have mostly been burdens for the companies in charge of social media platforms, but I think this might be the first time it's a burden for the users. I'm not sure yet if people will be put off by it enough to seek different platforms, or if they'll go with it since most people only visit a handful of platforms and verifying themselves on each one wont take too long. People will probably get annoyed enough when enough others laws pass, though.
