Wait, actually, client-side mods might be an issue. Are the client-side-only mods in the server modlist? Sometimes that can cause issues

based on past experience it's unlikely to be:
Immersive Melodies
Immersive Armor
Immersive Aircraft
Simple Hats
Music Maker Mod
Joy of Painting
Supplementaries (or any of its child/related mods)
Any Client-Side Mods

For most versions I'd say Create is also safe EXCEPT. I've had weird experiences with trying to get Create to run on recent versions, so I'm not going to exclude it from testing.

The error doesn't occur on singleplayer so I'll try it on a messy aternos server up or something

I can get feeds on seamonkey if I'm on the mobile version of the site or if I subscribe to the rss feed but neither of the other layouts load feeds

and it can also be if a player has a corrupt/errored item in their inventory, though i'm not sure how that'd happen, as i've never joined before

so far i've also tried on two different launchers to troubleshoot: Prism and ATLauncher. so it's not a launcher problem at the very least.

from what i've googled it usually has to do with a mod having a broken crafting recipe?
