ok finally logging off of minecraft for 2nite.
main additions so far are updates to the inn/tavern (sorry hjonk rail truthers... can't continue the railway until i get gold for powered rails. it's proving surprisingly difficult to find)... we got some updated FINISHED rooms (with complimentary cake), indoor fishing, and some exterior improvements to the entrance area + mine/railway entrance.

I actually don't know if that's the way you do it since I managed to milk a cow from the front once. The best strategy is to just spam the bucket on them until you get milk.
