Ethan Kath is a horrible person, obviously, but as a producer and musician, I don't think anyone has ever quite recreated his style of production. He had everything; the right groove, the versatility and the attitude. The first Crystal Castles album is a perfect example of this, the grooves are simple but infectious, the instrumentals never too complex... but hard to pick apart.

Also a pure genius in vocal tomfoolery, just listen to "Untrust Us".

Probably the best remix Crystal Castles ever did, I love the original song but there's something about this hypnotic and lethargic version that really just works... it was a bitter song about politics, but it got turned into something about hypnagogic pop-like.

I chose this specific video because I find it to be hilarious, but some of the pictures are genuinely cool. Bad people can do great things, as often as good people do bad things. It's bizarre.
